Food Banks

Hunger kills more people than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. Throughout the world, Lions are making a difference by feeding the hungry. Our clubs organize food drives, support local food banks and provide meals for those in need. Because there are nearly one billion people worldwide who lack adequate nutrition, the ways we can help are endless.

Locally our club supports food banks in Harford County with over a ton of canned goods per year, every year plus cash contributions so they can fill the gaps. 2020 was  an especially heavy year with a four-fold increase in the needy families they served - and we helped.
